Managed Activation: From Purchase to Testing Launch
Integrating a professional testing service into your development cycle requires a clear understanding of the activation workflow. This guide ensures your transition from development to managed testing is efficient.
Step 1: Procurement of Slots
Professional slots can be purchased as individual units or in value bundles.
- Payment Handling: We utilize Stripe and Razorpay for secure transaction processing. Once a payment is confirmed, the slot is immediately credited to your account wallet.
Step 2: Preparing the Console Release
Before activating your slot on our platform, your app must be 'Ready for Testing' in the Google Play Console.
- Upload AAB: Upload your production-ready bundle to the 'Closed Testing' track.
- Review Status: Ensure the status is not 'Draft'. It must be 'In Review' or 'Active'.
- Tester Access: In the 'Testers' tab of the track, select 'Email Lists'. You will be provided with our professional tester group email address to add to this list.
Step 3: Platform Activation
Navigate to your inTesters dashboard and select an available professional slot.
- Link Submission: Provide the official Play Store opt-in URL.
- Special Instructions: You have the option to provide technical notes for our testers (e.g., test credentials for a demo account).
Step 4: The Managed Lifecycle
Once activated, the status will change to 'Initializing'. Within 24 hours, our QA team will begin the engagement.
- Daily Dashboard: You can monitor the 'Tester opt-in count' and 'Average session duration' directly from your dashboard.
- Interim Updates: If our team identifies a critical crash on Day 3, we will notify you immediately rather than waiting for the end of the 14 days.
Step 5: Completion and Delivery
After the 14th day of continuous activity, the status will change to 'Completed'. Your comprehensive QA report will be available for download, and you can proceed to the 'Apply for Production' phase in your Google Play Console.
Planning this workflow in advance allows you to maintain a predictable launch date and ensures your testers are utilized effectively.
